Georgia Sutherland

Physiotherapist

Originally from the Sunshine Coast, Georgia made the move to Townsville in 2021 to complete her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at James Cook University. Prior to completing her degree, Georgia was training and competing horses in Three Day Eventing and running a beach horse riding company in Noosa. Competing at a national level in Eventing, as well as participating in multiple club level sports growing up, Georgia picked up numerous injuries over the years. The motivation and compassion that her Physio displayed when helping her recover from her injuries and get back to competing, is what led Georgia to pursue a career in Physiotherapy.

Georgia has developed a keen interest in the management of sporting-related injuries and post-orthopaedic rehabilitation. She is also passionate about treating people of all ages and musculoskeletal conditions.

Although she’s no longer competing, keeping active remains a big part of Georgia’s life. When not at work, you’ll find her at the gym, out on a hike or going for a strand walk then an obligatory coffee. She also has her pilots licence and loves to go flying on weekends, diving out at the reef or camping on the beach.
